Meet Anthony & Ken, Owners

Anthony Wall came to Canada in 2006 from a Mercedes-Benz dealership in the UK, and his specific attention to detail is second to none. His knowledge of Mercedes-Benz and Smart car is outstanding, from electrical diagnoses to mechanical repair, Anthony has the skills you require to keep your vehicle up to the manufacturer's specifications.

Ken Jones came to Canada in 2004 from a VW dealership in the UK. Since ken has been in Canada, he has been maintaining VW, BMW & Mercedes-Benz, and has great diagnostic skills from electrical to mechanical. He also has outstanding knowledge to maintain your vehicle to the manufacturer's specifications.

Both Ken & Anthony are fully licensed technicians and look forward too seeing you.

    Before i went to their shop my ride was so clapped out it drove like an old ford focus. There was oil leaking, squeeks, and terrible bouncing.

    After hoodstar worked their magic on the suspention, wheels, and engine it drives as a mercedes should. It feels as if it's a brand new car.

    These guys are highly respectible individuals compared to other loner single dog f***king mechanics on the planet. They are straight up class and i wish them the best. They both know what needs to be done.

    Thanks guys, did the service on our 2006 Smart today, 14 August, so excited to find a dealer happy to service it, very impressed on the prompt service and also for fixing the rattle/side lights also, will certainly be back when service needed and recommend you to our friends

    The skilled technicians at Hood Star Automotive brought my seventeen year old Mercedes-Benz back to life! My car runs, and handles like a new car. Anthony and Ken are easy to talk to, and when they have finished working on my vehicle I know it is done right. I am extremely happy with the service at Hood Star Automotive, and would not hesitate recommending them to anyone.

    Recently purchased my vehicle from abroad. A friend recommended these guys to look at the car. Anthony checked the car over from bumper to bumper and gave me a list of his recommendations. To which we have completed them all. They are very honest and genuine and very down to earth guys which is unusual with some mechanics sometimes. The rates are very reasonable and they stand by their work. This shop is going to always get my business when I need them and would personally recommend them even though they speak funny.

    Anthony and Ken have been servicing and maintaining my SL for the last 3 years. They know these cars inside and out !

    They are fantastic ! Always the best service ! I would not go anywhere else, and Iam glad they are in Chilliwack !

    I have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone !

    I live out Winlaw in the kootneys, ive been in to my local mechanics for the last 2 years chasing the same fault with my smart car. I do love my mechanic at home but sometimes it is apparent these cars nowadays requires specialist tooling and a certain specialty knowledge to fix the cars.

    I searched for specialty shops that work on these cars and these guys popped up. It is a 8 hour drive for me to get there but not sure i trust all the dealerships i drive past on the way. Well i took the plunge and brought my car to these guys. They advised me of some repairs that needed to be done prior to diagnosing this pesky ongoing fault. I returned home to my mechanic and he did the repairs. Since then i have made the trip back to the Hood Star boys to finally get to the bottom of this issue.

    They are very particular in diagnosing these types of problems it would seem, and very thorough.

    Well this fault they had fixed within 3 hours, well what can i say, im super happy with these guys, and they are great people to deal with, on top of all they cleaned all of my windows inside and out as they were concerned for my long drive home!!

    So would i recommend Hood Star Automotive?... in a heart beat, Anthony and Ken are AWESOME!!!!!

    10/10 in every aspect ,from walking through the door to leaving with your car. Friendly honest and first class workmanship from both guys , I wouldn't take my vehicle anywhere else :)

    Went in with shifting problems, car appeared to be seeking the proper gear. Error code indicated shift actuator circuit. They right away went to a wiring circuit, as they have saw it before. Wire was broken from rubbing. They fixed the wire and problem was solved. Excellent work and very knowledgeable. Will take it back to them for future problems.

    I am more than satisfied with the repair job done by Hood Star. I have experienced problems with the idle control of my Mercedes for more than 12 months , other shops have attempted to remedy the problem without success. Ken and Anthony found the problem very quickly and my Merc is now perfect. Hood Star have also serviced both my Mercedes.

    I have no hesitation of recommending Hood Star.. Ken and Anthony are both very pleasant people.

    I would like to share my experience with other Mercedes owners that there is a great shop in the valley that will do a good job looking after your repairs with exceptional service with a smile. Since my ML is out of warranty, I was looking for a reputable shop for servicing and found this owner/factory trained mechanic shop that knows what they are doing. They easily identified the problem that I was stating and fixed it at a fair price. They are friendly and really enjoy what they do. I am definitely willing to drive to Chilliwack from Surrey and recommend them to others.

    What can I say, these guy's are great. Why,because they repair the part that need repair, they don't just trough new part only if necessary. They have been working on my Smart car 2006 and always did great repair. They always let you know what to expect and they answer all your questions, you may have. I use to go to MB in surrey and there's no comparison. At Hood Star Automotive you save money big time. It is nice to be back to basic were customer service is more important than just the Bottom Line. I raise my hat to Anthony and Ken and thank you again guy's for repairs always well done.

    Anthony and Ken have been servicing my vehicles for the last dozen years with 100% satisfaction. When I found out that my 2 favourite Merc and BMW techs had started their own shop in Chilliwack I was very excited to say the least--hoping for more of the same service that I had come to know over the years. Well, that wasn't the case. The service has been ever better! They always go beyond the call of duty. My vehicle is always beautifully washed. Their prices are always on the lower side. I had a part fail in my vehicle recently that was about a year old. I was hoping that MB would cover the cost of the part. I was shocked when I got the bill and it was a big fat zero. And of course, my vehicle was also clean and vacuumed for that zero that I paid. I'm gushing .... yes. However, it's so rare to get that level of customer service these days that I feel compelled to give credit where it's due. They currently service both our MB M class and our BMW 335i.

    Anthony did a oil change for me and did it right.

    He also did a obd check and showed me how the service done in December by Mercedes Benz, Phoenix may not have corrected the check engine light problem I had in Arizona.

    I couldn't be happier with the service I received from Ken & Anthony @ Hood Star Automotive today. They are very friendly & knowledgeable and they go above and beyond in the customer service department. They patiently answered all of my questions and made recommendations regarding my service. Not only did they do a great job servicing my vehicle, they provided me with a courtesy car AND washed my car (inside and out) while they were at it... brilliant! Service this stellar is rare these days... I will be back and I will tell my friends. Thanks so much guys!!
