AutoGermany was started in April 2018 in Edmonton, Alberta, by two friends, Alex and Oleg, who share a common passion for German cars, as well as high level of technical knowledge and experience to expertly maintain and repair them. Alex has over 15 years of experience in the auto industry as former BMW technician and BMW tech support specialist. Oleg has 7 years of experience, formerly working for one of the largest European independent shops in Edmonton as a technician.

Most of our business comes through friends and referrals. Our goal is to develop a relationship with German car enthusiasts and provide them with the best and highest quality service possible. We really enjoy helping our customers to keep their car on the road as long as possible in a safe and reliable condition. We are certain that we are the most experienced BMW techs in the area. We have advanced diagnostic skills and equipment to properly handle any German vehicle repair or service.

Our number one goal is to become the trusted choice for Mercedes-Benz and German vehicle repairs in the area. We are working to better our business and become more known in the area among German vehicle owners. We hope to meet you in the near future!

Testimonials

  • I’ve been to a few import dealers now and they’ve all been similar. AutoGermany is leagues above the rest! Their customer service is second to none. I really appreciate the email communications when it comes to the work being done on my car. They were fast, helpful, and communicated clearly about my car and their work. Prices were reasonable. I was so impressed! I wish I found them sooner!

  • VERY impressed with Autogermany! After years of dealing with both BMW dealerships in Edmonton and their borderline crap service, Autogermany IS a breath of fresh air! Communication is spot on. Pricing is FAR more competitive. Integrity/honesty is spot on. I HIGHLY recommend Autogermany!

  • Great service for your German rides! Shop is ran by very experienced guys who genuinely enjoy what they do. This was the first time in a very long time when I left my car for work without being worried about it. I came there thinking I was getting a serious issue with my drive-train. Upon inspection, turned out issue was quite minor and easy fix. They provided a detailed inspection report and indicated that drive-train issue I thought I had is in a fairly early stage and does not require repair at this time. I bet other shops would just do it and charge me for it, since I was clearly prepared to do that work going in. They are also using really cool interactive online application in which they share status of the work and results of inspections. Through this application they provided IMAGES AND VIDEO with exact issues I had. This left me speechless for a moment. First, I've never seen this before. Second, there were absolutely no questions or doubts of work required. At the end of it, I was pleasantly surprised with very reasonable price for work. Overall, highly recommend this shop!

  • Great 2-man indy shop that specializes on everything German but it is apparent that both Alex and Oleg are BMW buffs through and through. Having seen a few in many countries, I can see They are that rare breed of auto technicians who actually still enjoy working on cars. Very knowledgeable, and have all the right tools to do very serious digging on any bimmer's guts. Best feature - they will take time to explain even to the most car-illeterate what really must be done now, and what can wait. Surprisingly for such a small operation, they have comfy waiting area with lots of natural light that is also sparking clean (washroom as well). And they did not mind our dog staying with us while we waited for our ex-Japan 3-Series to be tuned to Canadian specs. Overall great people and great place, can't recommend enough!

  • I can't rave enough about the quality of service besides the knowledge and experience they have. Before and after pics are taken and available on the internet. Most everything can be conducted electronically and they are a delight to work with right down to sourcing OEM parts where needed. They also printed out details for me to change the valve gasket myself to save me money. My son has a non-German car and he will only bring it there because of the honesty of the guys. Highly recommended - They go the extra mile!

I own an 2016 Audi A5, Heard a slight vibration in the car. The front driver side wheel bearing needed replacing. I was extremely pleased with their professionalism. From a very clean shop to the repairing which was completed in a timely manner to the very fair repair bill. I will absolutely be going back there when my car is sick again. Thank you autoGermany.

Friendly and welcoming environment, shop itself looks very clean and modern! Was looking around for a local shop that could do a brake service on my 2018 Audi S4. Found this shop through google, had high reviews and am not disappointed! Oleg and Kyle had great communication and was very professional. Highly recommended, will definitely come back for future services!!

The power steering on my Audi S4 failed a couple of weeks ago and I was extremely happy to discover AutoGermany close to my work place. Despite having a very heavy workload, AutoGermany agreed to take on this job and fixed the vehicle in short order once the needed parts came in. Alex, one of the owners did a terrific job in fixing the vehicle, was very transparent with everything and provided some very useful information on future potential issues with the vehicle. I found AutoGermany very professional and honest and they are certainly where my future service will be done. Thanks Alex Z. J. F.

2018 Golf Alltrack I had called in for an oil leak fearing the worst due to its nature but but was quickly put at ease over the phone. they got me in right away and begun to diagnose the problem. a written estimate and work forms were all sent via email. I was able to authorize the selected jobs from the estimate and saw exactly what was needed between parts and labour, there were no hidden costs, it was very handy. They also identified an issue with the suspension which I was aware of but hadn't gotten around to taking care of. I authorized the work and assumed I would see my car in a week or so. That was not the case I had it back that day and all was corrected for far less then I was expecting. I will never go to the dealer again. These guys are the real deal, they love cars and it shows.

They replaced the clutch on my Mini Cooper which was no small job. The level of detail put into the estimate made me comfortable that they had considered all parts that might need replacing on my nearly 20 year old car. Also, they spent a lot of effort to show us all the parts afterwards and show us what needed replacing. They also suggested things we should look out for in regards to future repairs that might come up based on the age of car and relevant to the engine design.
